ROCK ALS ACCESSIBILITY
Overview
In planning the Rock ALS music festival, we are designing ways to make this outdoor event accessible for our attendees. We believe it is is important that this event is able to be attended by those it aims to support.
From valet parking, designated seating areas, food service, and separate bathrooms, we are continuing to find ways to make this is a positive experience for those with accessibility needs.
Valet Parking
If you or an attendee are in a wheelchair, or have other accessibility needs, you are eligible courtesy parking. The riverside venue is located in a lower floodplain clearing. A volunteer will assist you in driving you down directly to your seating area. You will be provided with a phone number to call when it is time to leave. There will be a separate venue entrance for valet cars to enter the concert area as well.
DesignateD Seating
A designated area will be provided, and be assured, it will be one of the best views in the house! Valet parking will drop you off directly in this seating area. We will work to collect ideas on ways we can make this area comfortable for guests to ensure all needs are met during the event.
Food SERVICE
The food trucks will be located on higher ground. So, we will be bringing the food to you! A volunteer will be staffed for the designated seating area. Part of their job will be to ensure all attendees can easily order food. The volunteer will be tasked with retrieving the orders and delivering them to the guests.
Accessible Bathrooms
The designated seating area will have nearby access to handicapped accessible bathrooms. We will ensure the pathway from the seats to the bathroom is as clear and flat as possible for an outdoor setting.
